NASHVILLE, Tennessee – November 20, 2024 — CastNet, Inc. today announced two filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for non-provisional utility and PCT patents.
The filing of a non-provisional patent application with the USPTO continues the patent process for CastNet’s persistent monitoring system. The system is an innovative, next-generation technology to enhance traditional technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) . The USPTO accepted the patent application, so the application is now pending review by USPTO examiners. A non-provisional utility patent application is viewable by the public once the examination concludes. The USPTO publishes accepted applications at their official website.
Additionally, the filing of a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent application allows CastNet to seek patent protection in multiple countries through a single international application. The PCT application simplifies the process of obtaining foreign patents, because it extends the priority date and defers the national phase filing. This also provides time for one to choose which international patents to pursue. With its acceptance, the PCT patent application is presently pending review by the USPTO PCT search office.
Initial patent efforts began in the Spring of 2023. CastNet’s patent attorneys filed an initial provision patent application this time last year. “We are excited to see our patent application process proceeding,” announced Bart Holzer, a CastNet Co-Founder and Head of Technology.
