CastNet CMS
CastNet's Unique, Patent-Pending, Continuous Monitoring System
Traditional TSCM, or “Bug Sweeps,” provide a point-in-time service and require supporting operational security (OpSec) to remain effective. Today’s surveillance threats can arise quickly, as someone can hide, activate, and use devices to infringe on your privacy in mere minutes. As we’ve seen, these devices are readily available online.
CastNet CMS addresses this issue with a discreet, continuous threat detection system that offers you real-time awareness of hidden surveillance signals, unauthorized communications, and unusual activity. The system runs 24/7/365, ensuring ongoing coverage.
CastNet employs a sensor located at the monitored site along with a cloud-based Command Center to manage devices in various locations.
CMS Sensor
Our model’s sensors scan for WiFi and Bluetooth signals on local airwaves. The device also gathers data from network taps or switch span ports to provide wider coverage. As a result, the sensors can track and report on authorized, unauthorized, and nearby WiFi networks.

A Sensor connects to the Command Center using WiFi or a wired network. This connection is secure, similar to a modern VPN, with encryption from start to finish.
CMS Command Center
Cloud-based software connects with Sensors to send commands, collect data, update systems, and carry out tasks.

CastNet developers built the Command Center with modern DevSecOps practices, focusing on being secure from the start and by default.
How It Works
CastNet has developed a proprietary, patent-pending technology for detecting hidden cameras.
- With this technology, we can detect any number of suspicious, unauthorized, or rogue devices.

Detection
The first step is Detection. All devices are considered “Unknown” when first seen.
Classification
The next step is Classification. Here, our proprietary software checks and identifies the device’s features.
Confidence Scoring
When devices are classified, a confidence level is given. The highest score shows the best way to classify a device.
Alerting
Want to get notified when hidden cameras and drones are found? We can help! You can receive alerts through email, text messages, or in-app notifications in the Command Center. Each user can choose their own notification preferences.
What else can CMS do!?!
CastNet CMS was initially designed to detect hidden cameras. But what about other devices, like drones? By tracking network traffic and airwaves around a location, our technology offers important insights into nearby activities. Our system can identify:
-
- Device Inventory – Unsure what’s connected to your network? Worried about personal devices and IoT gadgets? We can list all devices in your vicinity, regardless of their network connections.
-
- Known Devices – Want to keep tabs on a troublesome employee? We can alert you when that person’s phone comes back to the location. We can also track attendance for current staff based on their phone presence.
-
- Drones – We can notify you if drone signals are detected nearby.
-
- KVM-over-IP – Remote KVM devices can be misused by malicious individuals to circumvent location restrictions. We can alert you about these easily hidden devices.
- Increased People Presence – Often called the “party detector,” this method identifies unusual crowds at a site. It could indicate an unauthorized event at a rental property or a gathering outside a corporate office.
