FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NASHVILLE, Tennessee – November 21, 2023 — CastNet, Inc. today announced the filing of a provisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) . This filing begins the patent process for CastNet’s innovative next-generation technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) persistent monitoring system. The provisional patent application is valid for twelve months. An applicant can then file a Utility Patent for the United States and foreign patents within that time frame. CastNet may now utilize the phrase “patent pending” in describing their proprietary technology.
Efforts toward this goal started in the Spring of 2023 when Bart Holzer, a CastNet Co-Founder and lead engineer on the patent process, initiated a patent search with CastNet’s attorneys. The search came back with the opportunity for submitting a novel and non-obvious concept. The team proceeded with formally documenting the CastNet process for identifying hidden cameras. According to Mr. Holzer, “Today marks a significant accomplishment for our organization by getting our initial patent application submitted to the USPTO. We look forward to pursuing the ‘full patent’ next year.”
A provisional patent application is not viewable by the public at the US Patent Office website.
