CastNet Press Release

CastNet Patent Update: PCT Search Report & Opinion Received

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tennessee – March 14, 2025 — CastNet, Inc. today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)  returned a positive opinion on CastNet’s Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent application

The USPTO notified CastNet’s patent attorneys that “All of your claims are patentable.” According to CastNet’s patent attorneys, “This is the most favorable opinion you can get. The PCT examiner considers all your claims as potentially patentable so there is no need to respond back and try and change the examiner’s opinion. This favorable opinion will be potentially considered by the national stage examiners in each country you later decide to file a patent application in before the PCT expires. Hopefully, it will influence the national stage examiners in each country to approve your patent application quickly without any need for argument.”

CastNet uses a PCT filing to seek patent protection in multiple countries through a single international application. This approach simplifies the process of obtaining foreign patents by extending the priority date and deferring the national phase filing. After an initial review confirms that the application requires no additional information, CastNet can proceed with the next steps.

A PCT patent application is viewable by the public at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) PatentScope portal.
